Terms & Conditions of Rental
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all roof box and roof bar hire services provided by Worcestershire Roof Box Hire Ltd, based in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. By hiring equipment from us, you agree to the terms set out below.
2. Hire Period
The hire period begins on the agreed collection date and ends when the equipment is returned within the agreed period of rental. Late returns may incur additional daily charges. Extensions may be requested and approved before the end of the hire period, subject to availability.
3. Payments
Full payment is required on the 1st day of rental. A refundable security deposit may be required depending on the equipment hired. Deposits are returned once the equipment is inspected and confirmed to be in good condition.
4. Equipment Condition
All roof boxes and roof bars are cleaned, checked, and safety‑tested before each hire. You are responsible for returning the equipment in the same condition. Damage, loss, or excessive wear may result in repair or replacement charges.
5. Fitting & Installation
We fit the roof box and/or roof bars for you. Once fitted, you are responsible for checking the equipment regularly during your journey.
6. Use of Equipment
Do not exceed the manufacturer’s weight limits. Ensure loads are evenly distributed and securely fastened. Roof boxes must be locked when unattended. You are responsible for any damage caused by misuse, overloading, or improper installation.
7. Loss, Theft & Damage
You are liable for the full replacement cost if the roof box, roof bars, or accessories are lost or stolen during the hire period. Any damage must be reported immediately. Charges may apply for repairs, replacement parts, or full replacement if necessary.
8. Returns
Equipment must be returned on the agreed date and time. Late returns may incur additional charges. Equipment will be inspected upon return.
9. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a fee. No refunds are given once the hire period has started.
10. Liability
We are not liable for any damage to your vehicle caused by overloading or misuse. We are not responsible for loss or damage to items stored inside the roof box.
We reserve the right to cancel or amend any booking due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to stock issues, supplier delays, vehicle problems, or operational disruptions. In these situations, we are not liable for any loss, inconvenience or additional costs. Any payments made will be refunded.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the hire, use, fitting, or performance of the equipment is strictly limited to the amount paid for the hire. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including travel disruption, accommodation costs, or damage to personal items
11. Customer Responsibilities
By hiring from us, you agree to:
- Follow all safety instructions.
- Regularly check fittings during your journey.
- Drive responsibly and be aware of increased vehicle height.
- Return all equipment on time and in good condition.
Under no circumstances must the roof box or bars be removed by you or placed on another vehicle.
