Is my car suitable for a roof box?

  • Vehicle make & model: Most modern cars can take a roof box as long as roof bars can be fitted.
  • Roof type: Cars with fixed points, raised rails, or flush rails are usually suitable. Some panoramic glass roofs may require specific bars.
  • Vehicle size: Smaller cars can still use roof boxes, but capacity will vary. Larger cars/SUVs can take bigger boxes.

How do I check if my car can take roof bars?

  • Look for existing roof rails.
  • Check your vehicle manual for roof load limits.
  • Send us details of your car here (Reg No, make and model) and we’ll advise.

How long does fitting take?

  • Normally no longer than 10-15 minutes , depending on the car

How do I book?

What payment methods do you accept?

  • Card payment on the day.
  • Cash on the day.
  • No payment is taken in advance.

What ID do I need?

  • You must provide one photo ID and one proof of address:
  • Photo ID: Driving licence (must show current address).
  • Proof of address: Utility bill dated within the last 3 months.

Is a deposit required?

  • NO – as long as you provide acceptable proof of ID, we normally do not require a deposit.
  • If we deem that a security deposit is required – this is fully refundable when the equipment is returned in good condition.

What happens on the day of hire?

  • We fit the roof box and bars for you.
  • You receive a quick demonstration on opening, locking, and loading.
  • We complete a short condition checklist.
  • In just 10-15 minutes you’re on your way!

What time do I have to return the Roof Box?

  • Normally by 5pm on the last day of rental – unless otherwise agreed by us. Late returns may be subject to extra hire fees

What size roof boxes do you offer?

  • Medium (ideal for small cars)
  • Large (ideal for estates/SUVs)
  • Extra‑large (maximum storage)

How long can I hire for?

  • UP to 4 Days
  • Up to 7 Days
  • UP to 14 Days
  • Up to 21 Days (choose 14 Days +)
  • Longer periods available on request

What if I need to cancel?

  • Just let us know as soon as possible.
  • No cancellation fees if prior to first rental day

Do you provide fitting?

  • Yes, full fitting and removal is included in the hire price and is Free if you bring your vehicle to us.

Can you fit at my address?

  • Yes,  for a fee depending on where you are. You check can check fitting fees here .

What if something gets damaged?

  • Minor wear is expected.
  • Significant damage or loss (including keys) will be charged for.

Can I travel abroad with the roof box?

  • Yes, but please inform us so we can ensure correct load ratings and fittings.

Anything else I should know?

  • Always check your vehicle’s roof load limit.
  • Avoid overloading the roof box.
  • Re-check fittings during long journeys.
  • Keep keys safe — replacement keys incur a charge.
